Scott Dean Barker 12, of Balmorhea was called to our Lord on Monday, March 11, 2013.
He was born April 23, 2000 in Garland, Texas to Rebecca Tarango Baeza and Lawrence Chuck Barker Sr. He loved going skating, and spending time with family and friends. Scott will be greatly missed but will remain forever in our hearts.
Survivors include his mother, Rebecca Tarango Baeza of Balmorhea; his father, Lawrence Chuck Barker Sr. of Marfa; a brother, Lawrence Chuck Barker Jr.; three sisters, Ashley Nicole Barker, Elena Marie Barker and Chloe Elise Onofre, all of Balmorhea; maternal grandparents, Jose P. Baeza II and Elia T. Baeza of Balmorhea; paternal grandparents, Larry and Olivia Barker of Marfa; three aunts, Yvonne Fetanat of Frisco, Barbara Rushton of Marfa, and Rachel Tarango Baeza of Texarkana, Texas; three uncles, Saul Tarango Baeza of Marfa, Jose Tarango Baeza II of Fort Davis, and Armando Tarango Baeza of Sweetwater; also several cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather; Jose Baeza I; paternal great-grandparents, Manuel and Maria Flores; aunt Elidia T. Iniguez; and uncle Roberto Tarango.
Rosary was the evening of Friday, March 15 and Sunday, March 17 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Stockton. Funeral Mass was celebrated the morning of Monday, March 18 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Balmorhea, with Father Rolando Fonseca officiating. Holy burial was in Balmorhea Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Paul Baeza, Abel Baeza, Rene Granado, Porfirio Iniguez III, Omero Sanchez, Jeremy Joe Baeza, Amber Medina and Marco Antonio Ramos.
