Jose Urias
Jose Urias, 87, of Presidio passed away at his residence on Thursday, January 4, 2018.
Mr. Urias was born in Buena Vista, Mexico on March 19, 1930. He had worked for 20 years with the Jess Burner cattle pens in Presidio.
He is survived by his wife, Eleuteria Urias of Presidio; three daughters; Anita Aranda of Andrews, Maricela Aranda of Presidio, and Juanita Bishop of Presidio; four sons, Jose Manuel Urias of Odessa, Ismael Urias of Amarillo, Alfredo Urias of Presidio, and Hector Urias of Midland; two sisters, Micaela Vuelas of Odessa and Paula Machuca of Pecos; two brothers, Nepomuceno Urias and Jose Maria Urias, both of Presidio. He also leaves behind 26 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Juana Urias; a sister, Paula Machuca; and a granddaughter, Dezery Marie Aranda.
Rosary service was held the evening of Sunday, January 7 at Santa Teresa Catholic Church in Presidio. Mass of Christian Burial was the morning of Monday, January 8 at the church, with graveside services in Desert Hills Cemetery. Fr. Mike Alcuino officiated.
Alpine Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
