A memorial service for Estella G. Villarreal is 10am Saturday, April 6 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marfa. The burial of her ashes at Merced Cemetery follows the service. Father Rolando Fonseca will officiate.

Villarreal, of Las Vegas, Nevada and formerly of Marfa, passed away Saturday, February 9 in Las Vegas at the age of 84.
She was born August 3, 1928 in Coahoma, Texas to Jesusita and Bernardino Garcia. She attended Blackwell School and graduated from Marfa High School in 1949.
She married Eleazar Villarreal in Marfa in 1956. The family moved to Las Vegas in the late 1980s.
Mrs. Villarreal was a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by many.
She is survived by her sons, Eleazar “Junie” Villarreal of Marfa and Eduardo Villarreal of Pahrump, Nevada; a daughter, Eliza V. Jimenez of Las Vegas; two brothers, Robert Garcia of Marfa and Victor Garcia of San Angelo; two sisters, Socorro Muñoz of San Antonio and Catalina Wright of Denton; also four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Villarreal was preceded in death by her husband, Eleazar Villarreal.
