Leslie Trammell

Leslie Roxanne Trammell, 35, of Fort Davis and formerly of Columbus, Texas died at her home in the Davis Mountains Resort on Friday, August 22, 2014 after a lengthy illness.

Leslie was born Tuesday, January 2, 1979 at Seton Center in Austin to Samuel R. and Donna Trammell.  She was a 4H and FFA member in Columbus, and a collegiate FFA member at Sul Ross State University.  Leslie showed cattle, horses, and goats for many years and won many awards. She earned the Lone Star Farmer Award in 1997.  Leslie received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Animal Science from Sul Ross.

She was most recently employed at Poco Mexico restaurant in Fort Davis.  Leslie was a loving daughter, niece, cousin, and friend who will be greatly missed but will remain forever in our hearts.

Leslie is survived by her mother, Donna Trammell of Fort Davis, her two aunts, Beth Dennis of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Peggy Delling of Columbus, Texas; her uncle, Thomas Trammell and his wife Lydia of Balmorhea; also numerous cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel R. Trammell; maternal grandparents, Donald and Helen Dennis; and her paternal grandparents, Herman and Elaine Trammell.

Graveside services were the morning of Thursday, August 28 in Hillcrest Cemetery in Fort Davis, with Dennis Trammell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jeff Davis County 4H or to the Fort Davis FFA.

Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton is in charge of arrangements.
