James Mills
James Emery Mills, 68, of El Paso passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 at his home.
He was born August 2, 1946 in San Antonio, and married Bonnie Ellen Hughes on December 14, 1968.
Emery grew up in Presidio and Marfa. He was educated in Presidio schools.
Emery worked as a welder and pipe fitter in construction for many years. He enjoyed his animals and the outdoors and especially loved horseback riding and hunting. Emery cherished spending time with his family.
Survivors are his wife, Bonnie Hughes Mills of El Paso; two daughters, Shannon Willis and husband Chris of Hobbs, New Mexico and Dana Hall and husband Jim of Gilbert, Arizona; grandchildren James Christopher Willis, J. J. Hall, Hannah Willis and Josh Hall; step-mother Lucevina ‘Vina’ Mills of Presidio; his brother, David Mills and wife Eliza of Presidio; also several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ingram and Margaret Mills.
Visitation was at Guadalupe Christian Camp of Queen, New Mexico, and funeral services were Thursday, February 12 at the camp with Rusty Smith officiating. Burial was in Hughes Cemetery, Dog Canyon, New Mexico.
Pallbearers are Chris Willis, Jim Hall, James Willis, J. J. Hall and Salty Hughes.
