Lifelong Presidio resident Delia Juarez Davis, 76, died peacefully in Manor Park in Midland on May 1, 2017.

She was born September 9, 1940 in Marfa, the daughter of Belen Ornelas Juarez and Nicandro Bejarano Juarez.

Delia was a devoted wife, caregiver and homemaker. She devoted a large part of her life taking care of her husband and mother who both had long-term illnesses. Her husband Gary passed away in January.

She enjoyed life to the fullest and traveled to many parts of the United States as health and time permitted.

She is survived by her twin sister, Elia Loufty and her husband Raouf Loufty of Tucson, Arizona; a sister, Selma Saxon and her husband James Saxon of Memphis, Tennessee; her brother, Nicandro Juarez and his wife Betty of Los Angeles, California; also five nephews, one niece, and many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents and her loving husband, Gary Davis.

Delia and Gary were a loving couple, devoted to each other, so it was fitting that they passed to eternal life close together. They will be very much missed by their families and their many friends.

Both Delia’s and Gary’s wishes were to be cremated and for their ashes to become part of the living earth from which they came.
