Jimmy Connors
Marfa native Jimmy F. Conners, 78, of El Paso passed away Thursday, August 3,2017.
He was a wonderful father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed.
He was buried in Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with full military honors on Thursday, August 10.
He was born January 18,1939 to John F. and Frances (Milan) Conners at Ft. DA Russell Marfa.
He was educated at Blackwell and Marfa schools.
He entered the United States Army where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam and Korean wars. He retired as a 1st. Sergeant with more than 20 of service to his country.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ina; his brothers, Eddie, Mike and Earnest.
He is survived by his two daughters, Darla Conners Ramirez and Michelle Conners Favrow (Kevin); his brothers, John Conners (Flora), Larry Conners; his sisters, Dorothy Bustamante and Francis Garcia; his grandchildren, Samuel Ramirez (Karen), Kristen Rosas (Mark), Joshua, Nathanael, Jeremy, Michael Favrow and Ashley Perryman (Zane); and great-grandchildren, Auden Ramirez, Nathalia and Maribel Rosas, Connor and Emiliano Ramirez.
